Standard Architecture | Design is the Architect of Record for Khaite's latest flagship store in Los Angeles, CA. Standard was approached by Khaite due to its meticulous approach to architecture and its strong record in luxury retail and commercial projects, including flagship stores for James Perse, Jenni Kayne, and Helmut Lang. Our team collaborated with the project’s designer, Griffin Frazen, from the early stages and played a key role in bringing the Los Angeles iteration of the brand’s now signature minimalist look to life. Through continuous dialogue and by drawing on our own expertise in designing and executing minimalist spaces, our team was able to support the design of the store through design sessions, technical documentation, coordination with consultants, and construction oversight. The result is a refined space that anchors the brand’s West-Coast presence on Melrose Avenue by combining Khaite’s elevated design sensibility, Griffin’s translation of the brand’s ethos from fashion to architecture, and Standard’s ability to execute spaces that feel precise and complementary to our client’s identity.
